Each year a range of attire is seen from pageant dress to casual wear. The contestants are not judged on their attire but we recommend a nice party dress or pageant dress for the little girls and comparable for the little boys. Denim is not recommended. The girl and boy chosen to represent Rockford as Little Miss and Mr. 4th of July will be special guests at various events throughout the year. The contestants are judged on their presentation of the Pledge of Allegiance and poise. The contestants can expect to answer a few simple questions after reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, for example: What is your favorite television show? The admission price for spectators will be $5.00 per person. Children 10 and under are admitted at no charge.  All pageant contestants are invited to ride on the trolley in the 4th of July parade. Information regarding time of arrival and meeting place for the parade will be provided the day of the pageant. A photographer will be photographing the contestants and you will be able to order photos if you wish. More information will be provided the day of the pageant. All of the contestants are WINNERS and all will receive prizes! Thank you for your interest in participating in this event.
